Bordering Canada to it’s north, we find Blaine, the northernmost town along the I-5. The Peace Arch International Monument lies partly in Blaine and partly in Canada. A beautiful seaside community that offers a taste of small-town America, Blaine's two large marinas are still home to hundreds of recreational sailboats and yachts, and a small fleet of determined local fishers provide visitors with dockside sale of fresh salmon, crab and oysters. My favorite Starbucks is in Blaine, it is pretty new, and definitely worth stopping in for a coffee experience inside the lighthouse! Also, while in Blaine you must visit Semiahmoo, the casual northwest beach resort with a restaurant, spa, it’s own marina, golf course and wonderful housing community.  The best agate beach in Whatcom County is found here, at the county park on the spit!
