Carol and David Robinson have donated 7.5 acres of undeveloped land to Bellingham, adding permanent open space to two parks. The donation, valued at $680,000, includes a 1.2-acre wetland parcel near Connelly Creek Nature Area and a 6.3-acre conifer-forested hillside near Arroyo Park. Both properties, originally zoned for single-family homes, will now be permanently reserved for parks and open space. The city’s Parks and Recreation Director, Nicole Oliver, praised the Robinsons’ generosity and emphasized the importance of preserving natural areas as the city continues to develop.
